Villas Marena is a dream realized for friends and now business partners from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Their journey to Los Ayala began when friends persuaded them to come experience what they said was “True Mexico.”  The hotel their friends recommended in La Peñita was full and they ended up staying at a beachfront bungalow in Los Ayala. When  they saw the gorgeous beach from their terrace, they knew that they had arrived in paradise.

Previously they had been considering buying real estate in Mexico but did not know where or when. A few weeks after returning home they came back  to Los Ayala to look at a beachfront hotel for sale and review the crazy idea of buying it, only to return home even more excited about the project!

In January of 2008, they made an offer on the hotel. Their offer was accepted, and the crazy dream of owning a beachfront hotel is now a reality.  The hotel is now known as the Villas Marena Condos, and their “Home away from Home”.  They return every winter for vacation and feel very fortunate to be living and sharing the dream, with friends and family!
